It is set to be a busy transfer window for Orlando Pirates, not only when it comes to incomings but for outgoings as well.

Although it is no secret that Pirates are in the market for a striker, they already have a whole host of them at the club as it stands.

In news that would’ve not gone down well with a section of the Pirates fans, it was earlier reported that the club were considering keeping Bienvenu Eva Nga. The Cameroonian striker spent most of his first season at the club without making much of an impact, as he hardly made an impact for Jose Riveiro’s side. That, to such an extent that many thought he would be regarded surplus to requirements at the Buccaneers.

The latest transfer gossip suggests two more new signings are close to being confirmed at Naturena!

After a few seasons at Chippa, the target man seemed to make the desired impact as his efforts would soon catch the eyes of bigger clubs in the DStv Premiership. Initially he was linked to Pirates’ archival Kaizer Chiefs, with there being confirmation of a transfer fee agreement already in place between the two clubs. That agreement then seemed to fall through after the sacking of Amakhosi’s former coach Stuart Baxter.

In the end, Eva Nga was found himself at Pirates, but it seems like it wouldn’t be for long. That is because Soccer-Laduma are reporting that one of his long-term admires in SuperSport United are back in for his services ahead of the new season.

SUPERSPORT AND CHIPPA

“SuperSport is monitoring the situation with Eva Nga at Pirates as the club is looking for strikers. Chippa is also interested in a reunion with the striker”. Said a source to the same publication.

It would probably make sense for both parties to part ways, as Pirates are in pursuit of multiple strikers as it stands, and while Eva Nga will clearly not play a big role next season, the club should be looking to cash in on the player to aid their other transfer business.
