ORLANDO PIRATES TO CUT FIVE PLAYERS SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENTS
Collins Makgaka hasn’t started a competitive outing this term and has a contract expiring in June. The attacking midfielder could be packing his bags for Stellenbosch.Central defender Sandile Mthethwa hasn’t played a single minute of competitive football in 2022-23. Pirates are stacked in that department, with Innocent Maela, Olsia Ndah, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki all ahead of the 25-year-old in the pecking order. A move to Golden Arrows, Chippa or Richards could be good for him.
Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah’s career has stalled somewhat and a move away from Mayfair might revive the 21-year-old’s fortunes. Two other strikers tipped to leave the club are Terrence Dzvukamanja and Eva Nga. Zimbabwean Dzvukamanja might be offloaded in order to free up a foreign space in the squad.
Meanwhile, in the case of Bienvenu Eva Nga, everything started so brightly for the 29-year-old Cameroonian. After Kermit Erasmus arrived at the club, however, he has constantly linked with a move away. His former Wits manager Gavin Hunt is apparently keen on a reunion at SuperSport.
