SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has revealed what he told Luke Fleurs amid his links to Kaizer Chiefs.
Fleurs, 22, is a target of Kaizer Chiefs, as SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews told iDiski Times last week, with the Matsatsantsa leadership currently considering the latest offer of the Amakhosi.
Hunt, however, insisted the centre-back is start part of his plans and has returned to training with the rest of the squad.
“Yeah look, he’s still part of… I just see, I read the media and I see little stuff in the media about him but yeah he is still part and parcel with us,” he told Robert Marawa on Marawa Sports Worldwide.
“He’s training, he started on Monday, he’s training well. I spoke to him today (Wednesday), this morning. No problems.
“I said to him ‘I know there is a lot of speculation going on, just keep your head down’ and you never know in life, especially in football, things can change, but right now he’s part and parcel with us.”
Hunt also explained that he knows the model of SuperSport, who are known for unearthing great talents before they move on to clubs with more money.
“When you work for SuperSport, these things happens all the time,” he added.
“One of the reasons why I left in the first place. It’s a club that is obviously attracting the right players and the right players a lot of the clubs want the players because we’ve got good players.”
SuperSport, who finished the first half of the campaign in third place with 21 points, return to action on 30 December when they will host Marumo Gallants.
