After the first leg finished goalless, it was all to play for in Saturday’s second-leg at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kermit Erasmus scored the opener in the eighth minute and Monnapule Saleng added a second in the 83rd minute as well as the third goal in stoppage time to book the Buccaneers a place in the final.
The Soweto giants will take on either bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs or AmaZulu in the final on Saturday, 5 November at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Amakhosi and Usuthu will play their second-leg match on Sunday, 23 October at 15:30.
That tie is deadlocked at 1-1 after the first leg.
Orlando Pirates are chasing an 11th MTN8 title.
The overall winner will walk away R8 million richer.
