A new Orlando Pirates star needed just a month to earn love and acceptance from the club’s fans – including a personal chant.

Irrespective of talent, Orlando Pirates fans are not always easy to please, not to mention truly falling in love with you within weeks.
The Sea Robbers signed the 30-year-old central midfielder from Marumo Gallants.
Timm, who is rather well traveled, is no stranger to the Johannesburg bright lights.
He began his PSL career at Bidvest Wits, moved to Mpumalanga Black Aces, then had a stint in the United States before returning to join Maritzburg United where he was fine-tuned by the demanding Ernst Middendorp.
Following a string of fabulous performances in Bucs’s midfield, where Timm stood out with calm, smart passing selection and precision, the SuperSport United academy graduate from Durban has earned a special chant.
As heard last weekend during the 2-0 win over TS Galaxy, Pirates fans chanted “Tiiiiiiimm” every time the midfielder touched the ball.
The chant is synonymous with the 1990s with players likes “Shooooees” “Fiiiiish” and “Boooooth.”
While the “Tiiiiimm” chant happens at the Orlando Stadium, expect it to filter out across Mzansi stadiums. The last player to enjoy a personal chant at the club was Oupa “Aaaaaace” Manyisa.
