Pirates have scored only four goals in the DStv Premiership after seven matches and there were suggestions that his system that utilises three centre-backs could be defensive.
Riveiro has explained that his line-up has a lot of attacking profiles and is not worried about scoring goals, as long as they are creating enough chances to win matches.
"We usually finalize and finish our attacks with six players in the box at least, if it's not a transition, in an organised attack, so they all have the responsibility and the intention, the wish to score goals," Riveiro said in a pre-match press conference ahead of their game against TS Galaxy.
"Our wing-back, our number tens, we play with many offensive profiles in our starting eleven, so it's a responsibility we all share.
"Obviously we would like increase that figure or number of scored goals but I'm gonna be more worried when we finish one game without chances or enough chances to score goals and not when we are not accurate with the last touch," he said.
Chippa played with numbers behind the ball for the majority of the game but after persistent attacking from the Brazilians, Peter Shalulile eventually snatched the winner in stoppage time.
The four goals that Pirates have scored, three have come from players playing at the back, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Deon Hotto (converted into a wing-back) and Paseka Mako.
Bienvenu Eva Nga is the only striker with one goal and that shows the missing element could just have to do with forwards finding their scoring touch.
"One more time my focus is about the players that we have in the squad, we have a lot of talent, different profiles and different possibilities," he went on.
"Trust me it's just a question of confidence, one day these type of questions will not be here anymore, I'm pretty sure," he added.
Riveiro also revealed that that Bafana Bafana striker Evidence Makgopa is close to joining his teammates at training as he recovers from an injury he sustained during pre-season.
