As he works his way back to full fitness, Vincent Pule says he is looking forward to rekindling the telepathic relationship he shares with Thembinkosi Lorch.
With Pule out injured for a large majority of the 2021/22 season, fans were deprived of the special on-field relationship he shared with the former PSL Player of the Season.
The duo combined to deadly effect in seasons gone by and often saw Pirates to victory.
Now, speaking to the Siya crew, Pule says he is looking to re-establish the relationship under the club’s new coach Jose Riveiro.
“Every player at Pirates has his own qualities you know, and I think I’ve linked with both Lorch and [Deon] Hotto. I think they bring a lot of energy and a lot of excitement. I am happy that I am back and that I get to play with everyone, even the new players just to get a lot of combinations with them but the most important thing is to win trophies and to win the games,” he told the Siya crew at the adidas store in Woodmead.
After being left out of the first matchday squad of the season by Riveiro, Pule has since made two consecutive appearances for the Buccaneers. First as a second half substitute against Stellenbosch FC and thereafter he played the entire minutes as Pirates went down 1-0 to Chippa United.
