Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has explained why they are not disappointed to have missed out on the signing of Kobamelo Kodisang.
Kodisang's agent Mike Makaab confirmed to the Siya crew recently that the Soweto giants tried to lure the Sporting Braga player to Naturena, but the clubs were unable to agree on a fee. It appeared as though Kodisang would play his football for topflight club Chaves on loan for the upcoming season, but that deal has since fallen through.
The 22-year-old is currently back with Braga's B team and will be hoping to make a move before the transfer window closes, so that he can get competitive action in the coming season.
Amakhosi coach Zwane said they were not disappointed to miss out on the former national under-20 player, due to the fact that they have the likes of Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Kgaogelo Sekgota as options on the flanks.
"No, we are not disappointed (on not signing Kodisang). I think we have assembled a very good squad. We've got balance. We've still got Mahlatsi, we still have KG (Sekgota). We have many players if we want to change the formation, to play with wingers. If we want to play with wing backs, we still have players who can give us that power on the right and left flanks. I think we have balance."
