A Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana international is going on a successive fourth loan move in the 2022/23 season, the Siya crew has learnt.
After spending the 2021/22 season on loan with Sekhukhune United where he did well with regular game-time while also being constantly called up in Bafana coach Hugo Broos’ squads, Nyiko Mobbie has been waiting on Sundowns to decide his future.
With PSL clubs in the final stages of their preparations for the beginning of the season next weekend, indications from sources close to the Chloorkop outfit are that Mobbie has been sent back on another season-long loan deal at Babina Noko.
“Nyiko Mobbie is going on another season-long loan at Sekhukhune United. It is a done deal and he will appear in the colours of Sekhukhune again this upcoming season,” confirmed the source.
Since being signed by the Brazilians from Free State Stars in 2019, Mobbie has been on loan at Stellenbosch FC, Chippa United and Sekhukhune respectively.
The 27-year-old Malamulele-born player made 22 DStv Premiership appearances for Sekhukhune last season.
