Kaizer Chiefs target Kobamelo Kodisang will start training for the new season with Braga's B side today, after he was not included in the plans of the first team for pre-season, with a loan move still possible before the close of the transfer window.
Braga exercised the two-year option in the 22-year-old's contract, but have not included the national under-23 player in the first team squad which is going to play friendly matches against the likes of Nice, Middelsbrough and Benni McCarthy's former side Celta Vigo.
The first team started pre-season training with 23 players last week, with six more expected to join at a later stage, while Kodisang is left out in the cold. The youngster, a former Platinum Stars and Bidvest Wits player, will start pre-season training with the B team today, with the hope that he can get a move before the close of the window.
According to information received by the Siya crew, Braga had given Kodisang two options - to go out on loan or stay with the B team. Braga hold the power in this situation and Amakhosi. Kodisang's camp want to ensure that the player is not frustrated for another season in the reserve team of Braga and Chiefs have expressed a serious interest in having him on board.
As things stand, the realistic chance for Amakhosi would be to have the player on loan, as it's understood that Braga do not want to let him go permanently. The player's camp, as the Siya crew has been informed, would also be open for the player to make a move in Europe, as long as it benefits his career and progress.
Chiefs do have a realistic chance of securing the services of the player before the close of the window in August.
