The Siya crew has been led to believe that Ricardo Goss is heading to SuperSport United as Mamelodi Sundowns prepare to welcome Ronwen Williams to Chloorkop this week.
Sundowns are close to agreeing a move to secure the services of Williams from Matsatsantsa and the Siya crew has been informed that the club is trying to have the Bafana Bafana captain on board by the time pre-season begins on Thursday.
Sundowns will welcome their players back ahead of the new campaign and there is a big chance that Williams will be part of it, joining Sipho Mbule who has also made a move from SuperSport. Williams has also been on the radar of Orlando Pirates, but it appears that Sundowns have won the race for his signature.
According to information received by the Siya crew, Williams' proposed move to Sundowns would include cash and goalkeeper, Goss.
Goss has struggled for game-time at the treble winners, playing as the fourth choice keeper during the past season. Whenever Denis Onyango was not available, the Sundowns technical team would often go for Kennedy Mweene or Reyaad Pieterse in goal. In fact, Sundowns exercised the option in Pieterse's contract, as they want to keep him in the side.
Goss, a former Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits shot-stopper, made just four appearances for Sundowns in the 2021/22 campaign.
It's unclear at this stage if Goss' move to SuperSport will be permanent or a loan move.
