Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade are showing interest in a Mamelodi Sundowns player who impressed while on loan this past season, the Siya crew has been reliably informed.
As the University of Pretoria came close to making a return to Mzansi’s topflight after an impressive campaign in the GladAfrica Championship, Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro has been one of the outstanding players for the side.
As a result, the 21-year-old has attracted interest from a few clubs locally and abroad, with the 27-time league winners from Serbia understood to have been monitoring his progress with a view of signing him.
According to sources, Ighodaro’s possible move to Serbia is under discussions between the parties, with the player also ready to make a step up in his career after his progress at Tuks since returning from long-term injury.
However, any potential move for the forward will have to be accepted by the Brazilians as the player belongs to the Chloorkop outfit, with the league champions set to decide on his future for the upcoming season due to a dilemma with their exhausted foreign quota.
