Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of numerous players, as the club begins a rebuilding phase.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, an overhaul was expected at the Naturena-based side, with Chiefs confirming that the club will not renew the contract of striker Samir Nurkovic.
The Serbian's three-year contract with the Soweto giants is expected to expire at the end of June and will not be renewed. Nurkovic arrived at Naturena in 2019 under former Amakhosi coach Ernst Middendorp and had a successful first campaign, scoring 14 goals in 31 appearances for the club. The 29-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Royal AM.
Amakhosi's mass exodus includes the likes of Lazarous Kambole, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso, Leonardo Castro, Daniel Akpeyi and Kearyn Baccus, as confirmed by the club on its official social media platforms.
The Soweto giants also confirmed that the club has transfer-listed Anthony Akumu Agay.
More players are expected to make exits, such as Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Dumisani Zuma.
