A Kaizer Chiefs star is set for a return as the Soweto giants are expected to regroup after he recovered from a lengthy injury.
After featuring in only eight matches for Chiefs in the opening stages of the season, having joined from Swallows FC at the end of the 2020/21 season, Sifiso Hlanti suffered an Achilles tendon injury in November which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.
Seven months later, the Bafana Bafana international has fully recovered and ready to join the rest of his teammates for pre-season under newly appointed Amakhosi head coach Arthur Zwane, as the club will be aiming for a successful 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign.
“Sifiso Hlanti is itching for a return to the field with Kaizer Chiefs after his long absence due to injury. The boy has recovered and is looking forward to re-joining his teammates in training. The main thing for him is to regain fitness and work on getting back to the team,” said the source.
Chiefs players and technical team are expected to regroup next week for their preparations for the new season.
