Kaizer Chiefs' return date is yet to be confirmed by the club, but according to insiders, players have been informed of when they need to report for pre-season, the Siya crew can reveal.
With his three-year deal signed and sealed and ready to get down to business, Arthur Zwane will aim for a perfect start as Amakhosi supporters look forward to a better season, following the arrival of new players at the club.
After parting ways with several players, including veteran attacker Bernard Parker and former PSL Footballer of the Season Lebogang Manyama, Chiefs have confirmed signing Zitha Kwinika and Ashley du Preez from Stellenbosch FC, while Siyethemba Sithebe had already been signed on pre-contract in January while still with AmaZulu.
Swallows FC’s Dean Solomons and Kamohelo Mahlatsi are among players expected to be signed by Chiefs in the coming weeks, while overseas-based Thabo Cele, TS Galaxy’s Given Msimango and Golden Arrows’ Pule Mmodi are among players linked to the Soweto giants.
Meanwhile, Chiefs players are expected to return on June 22 for pre-season, as confirmed by sources close to the club.
“Chiefs players have been informed that they will be reporting back to the club on 22 June 2022. So, everyone whose name was not announced on the exit list is looking forward to that date, although there are reports in the media that there could still be more changes taking place at the club with regards to player movements,” said the source.
