Kaizer Chiefs may have to break the bank if they are to land a top Cameroonian marksman described as a 'complete player' by his coach at Asante Kotoko.
According to Siya sources, Chiefs are not the only club in the race to sign Franck Mbella Etouga, as the Kotoko striker has also attracted interest from French clubs Stade Rennais and St Etienne, Turkish club Galatasaray, Portuguese side SD Eibar as well as Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has explained in detail what Etouga, the Ghana Premier League top scorer with 20 goals from 27 games, brings to the table in a press conference with the Ghanaian media.
“He’s a complete player in the sense that, physically, he’s there, technically he is a good player and tactically too and psychologically,” said Ogum in a presser as quoted by ModernGhana.com.
“He has that confidence and self-believe that he is capable of doing it, and I like his work ethic; he is very humble, respectful, and always ready to listen to instructions, and I will keep saying this.
“When he plays a game and doesn’t do well, he becomes so worried that I’ve to talk to him to calm him down. So on the whole, I think he’s a good player, always focused, and he is ready to work, and technically I think he’s one of the best players in the league," concluded Ogum.
Amakhosi have tabled an offer for the 20-year-old Cameroonian, and it remains to be seen if they will win the race.
