Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena had some special praise for Andile Jali after his Man-of-the-Match display against Royal AM.
The Brazilians remain oncourse to secure the domestic treble after advancing to the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday evening.
Jali was named Man of the Match after his display in the midfielder, with Mokwena reopening the Footballer of the Season debate.
"You have to give me a little bit more of just a couple of minutes we have because not just about today but an entire season," Mokwena told SuperSport after the game.
"A couple of months [ago] I asked South Africa and the media why are we not starting this debate about Footballer of the Season.
"The performance has been indicative of the personality, a couple of years ago they called him the 'Napoleon', the 'Dynamo' and that's what he showed, his leadership qualities, his tenacity and just his overall experience and his ability to assist the team in difficult moments, so we're very fortunate to have him and the entire group you know, 'AJ' is just a reflection of the entire group."
