There are eight players at risk of missing the DStv Premiership clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
With Premiership fixtures scheduled for today, there are players who are sitting on three yellow cards and run the risk of missing this weekend's big encounter, which could see the Amakhosi players give Sundowns a guard of honour for claiming yet another league title.
Chiefs, who will host Downs at FNB Stadium on Sunday, take on Marumo Gallants this evening at the same venue, with a total of five players who are just one yellow card away from suspension. Cole Alexander, Daniel Cardoso, Phathutsedzo Nange, Reeve Frosler and Siyabonga Ngezana are all sitting on three yellow cards going into the clash against Gallants.
Resting some of these players could be a risk for Chiefs' interim coach Arthur Zwane, with Amakhosi currently on a run of four straight defeats.
Sundowns, meanwhile, were away to Sekhukhune United at Ellis Park yesterday evening and have Lyle Lakay, Mothobi Mvala and Teboho Mokoena who are just a card away from serving a one-game suspension.
It will be a bigger concern for Chiefs, who have had a difficult few weeks and need as many players available to face a Sundowns side that has enough depth to replace anyone who is missing.
