Mamelodi Sundowns legend Roger Feutmba has reacted on the club's shocking elimination from the CAF Champions League.
Masandawana was among the favourites to win this year's continental competition after starting the campaign very well and beating defending champions Al Ahly in the group stages.
Angolan side Petro De Luanda shocked the Brazilians and Feutmba says it is sad, not only for the club, but for South African football.
"The only thing I can say is that it is a sad thing to happen for the club. I think it is also sad for South African football, because they've been representing the country. It wasn't expected because they had a good tournament and were serious contenders for the cup," Feutmba told the Siya crew.
The former midfielder feels that mistakes in critical times costed the club, and hopes that moving forwartd, they can avoid complacency.
"You know the game is like that. You need to make sure you always focus all the time. I think complacency overcame them, making crucial mistakes.
"I know they will bounce back because they have a good squad and technical team. It is just working on those mistakes and always putting in the same effort."
