The Siya crew has reported that Mosimane is on the verge of getting a new and improved with the reigning African champions, but his representatives, MT Sports, have broken their silence on matters relating to the former Mamelodi Sundowns mentor. The agency also mentioned that they will wait on the response of Ahly regarding the status of the coach’s contract.
A statement released by Mt Sports reads as follows: “The reports that have been circulating in the media and in particular on social media platforms regarding Coach Pits Mosimane's contract negotiations with Al Ahly S.C are factually incorrect.
“Some members of the media and the so-called pundits within the football community have been making a concerted effort to drive a negative narrative regarding the contract negotiations. These comments are directed at our Managing Director, Ms Moira TIhagale, who is the agent of the coach. It is also disappointing to see how they are trying to cause a rift between all the relevant parties; the club, the agent, the coach and in particular, the supporters.
“The fact is, the Terms of the contract have all been agreed upon between the Al Ahly S.C representative and the agent, Ms TIhagale. The speculation by media and in particular on social media platforms is unfounded.
“Out of respect for Al Ahly S.C, we will wait for their formal response on the status of the contract. We will comment if and when necessary.
“Our Coach is committed to continuing his role as the Head Coach of Al Ahly S.C. We, as MT Sports his management agency, are committed to ensuring that we meet his mandate. We appeal to the media and the so-called pundits to please refrain from creating unnecessary tensions within this relationship that has been able to deliver ground-breaking results to date."
