A South American attacker has been unveiled at one of the DStv Premiership clubs as teams prepare for the resumption of the season.
As reported by the Siya crew, Stellenbosch FC had been expected to complete the signing of Juan Carlos Ortiz, and the Western Cape outfit has since unveiled the 28-year-old Venezuelan who can play on either wing as well as a striker.
Stellenbosch coach Steve Barker and his technical team want to continue from where they left off before the break with the club’s impressive season so far after the team won seven and drew eight from their 18 matches in the league.
The team is third on the log and behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates respectively, which is a huge improvement from the side that fought against relegation last season and finished in 14th place.
In their next match, Stellies are scheduled to face Baroka FC at the Danie Craven Stadium on February 11, before taking on Swallows FC in the league at the same venue on February 16.
