With a number of players heading out at Royal AM, the Siya crew has been reliably informed that more players are set to face the axe as the KZN outfit look to trim their inflated squad.
The Siya crew reported in December last year that the topflight rookies would be looking to reduce their squad of 45 players to a more manageable number for coach John Maduka.
Subsequent reports in local media revealed that the likes of Lucky Baloyi, Motebang Sera, Reagan Van Der Ross, and Ronald Pfumbidzai, Mereko Mokone and Tshepo Moeketsi would all be making way in the January transfer window.
In addition, Jackson Mabokgwane is currently negotiating a settlement with Shauwn Mkhize’s side, as previously reported by the Siya crew.
The latest news reaching the crew’s desk is that the clear-out is far from done!
In addition to the likes of Moffat Mdluli, Ronald Pfumbidzai and Siphelele Luthuli - Tebogo Khasipe, Vusi Shikweni, Tumelo Njoti, Shadrack Kobedi and Jabulani Ncobeni are understood to be heading for the exit door at the club.
A potential stumbling block for Royal AM parting ways with these players, is the respective contract lengths of some of the players.
The likes of Khasipe (2024), Kobedi (2025), Ncobeni (2023), all have a few years left to run on their deals and like Mabokgwane, would have to negotiate a settlement with Royal AM before leaving the club.
Meanwhile, the club has rubbished reports that star striker Victor Letsoalo is on his way out of the club in a fiery statement issued on Thursday.
