Mamelodi Sundowns this week announced the signing of Teboho Mokoena and concerns have been raised about the move.
The former SuperSport United midfielder agreed to a four-year deal with Masandawana and former Sundowns defender Phelelani Mpangase is apprehensive about whether the player will get minutes on the playing field.
The DStv Premiership champions have many options in midfield, with Mpangase explaining that Mokoena cant be paired alongside Anfile Jali.
"We saw it coming, but I think it is going to be difficult for him to play at Sundowns, as we know Andile Jali is doing well. You can't play him and Teboho Mokoena at the same time," Mpangase told the Siya crew
"They are similar players, but maybe Sundowns are looking at the age of Jali and Mokoena can be a long-term solution. I also feel he (Jali) is no longer the same, especially as he has been facing injuries.
"For financial security, it is a good move, also hopefully it will help Bafana Bafana, especially if he gets game-time."
