A former Orlando Pirates player has offered advice to the club’s co-coach Mandla Ncikazi as he and Fadlu Davids will be aiming to change the fortunes of the team after the FIFA international break.
The Buccaneers went to the break at the back of a 2-1 loss against perennial rivals Kaizer Chiefs in this season’s first official Soweto derby on November 06.
From their 10 matches so far this season, Bucs have won only three, drawn five and lost two as they prepare for their next match against Golden Arrows on Saturday.
Former Pirates striker James Mothibi is confident that with Ncikazi at the helm and along with Davids, Bucs are headed in the right direction.
“Coach Mandla was the assistant coach at African Wanderers when I played for the team. I know him and he is the coach who is all about discipline. He is a coach who is very serious about his job, and I just want to motivate him to focus on the positives that he has been doing at Orlando Pirates and things will fall into place. He is the right guy to motivate the players and to give them hope. My advice to him is to never be afraid to take risks for the benefit of the club,” said Mothibi.
