AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy make a promise after receiving another gong for his great work in transforming the PSL side.
McCarthy joined Usuthu in December 2020 with huge reputation and pressure at the same time as the KwaZulu-Natal outfit were in a transition phase.
The former Bafana Bafana striker delivered and managed to turn AmaZulu into a force to be reckoned with, leading the side to a second place finish and qualifying for the CAF Champions League.
The UEFA Champions League winner added another award to his cabinet after receiving the Coach of the Year award in the KZN Sport Awards.
Reacting to the recognition, McCarthy has promised to keep working hard to change the lives of players.
"I would like to thank everyone for recognising me as a coach of the year in the KZN sport awards. I'm truly blessed, grateful and very humbled by this award," McCarthy said via AmaZulu's media department.
"I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I promise to continue working exceptionally hard to set the standard for coaches like me, the young and upcoming... that when you work hard, try to make players better than they are, anything can be achieved."
