News reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns have expressed an interest in yet another Kaizer Chiefs transfer target.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Sekhukhune United star Yusuf Maart has been identified as a potential addition to Chiefs in the coming year.
The former Orlando Pirates development player failed to make an impact at the Buccaneers but has managed to resurrect his career at the topflight newbies and has gone on to establish himself in the Bafana Bafana set-up, while catching the eye of some of Mzansi’s top scouts. With the player being eyed up by the Naturena-based side, sources have indicated that DStv Premiership champions Masandawana have also expressed an interest in the 26-year-old. It is understood that with Downs' financial muscle, the Chloorkop-based club could leapfrog Amakhosi in the race for the player's signature.
However, at this stage, according to insiders, it remains unclear whether Babina Noko are willing to part with one of the club's key players. Maart led Sekhukhune in their GladAfrica Championship title-winning season and has been a regular in Hugo Broos’ new-look Bafana Bafana side, and it now seems as though a move to one of the PSL giants could be on the cards.
