There are a few Swallows FC players who could be looking to make an impression on former side Mamelodi Sundowns when the two clubs meet this weekend at Loftus.

Unbeaten Sundowns let go of a few of their players during the transfer window and four of them joined the Dube Birds. Of the four who left, Keletso Makgalwa has featured the most, as he looks to get his career back on track after struggling to break into the starting line-up at Chloorkop last season.

Makgalwa came through Sundowns Diski Challenge side and impressed then senior team head coach Pitso Mosimane, earning himself a first team contract. While he made a mark under Mosimane previously, the player found himself watching Sundowns matches on the sidelines last season and, as a result, left the club. Since joining Swallows, the man they call ‘Aguero’ has made eight appearances in all competitions and has provided one assist.

Another player who left Sundowns, despite signing a two-year deal last season, is Tebogo Langerman, who has made two appearances in all competitions for Swallows. With his experience, Langerman could help guide Swallows to a much-needed victory.

Goalkeeper Jody February has featured on the bench in recent weeks for Swallows and will be hoping to make his first appearance of the season against the club he left a few months ago.

Other former Sundowns players in the Swallows camp are Musa Nyatama, Thela Ngobeni, Vuyo Mere, Wandisile Letlabika and Lebohang Mokoena.
