Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Wayne Arendse admits he may have to consider looking into other avenues if he does not find a club this season.
The 36-year-old left Sundowns at the start of last season and has not received concrete offers for his services and feels that age could be a big factor for clubs not showing an interest in having him on board.
The former Santos defender, however, is not giving up just yet and hopes something will come up before the end of this season, or he may consider bringing an end to what has been an impressive career filled with trophies he won while he was in the colours of Sundowns.
"Obviously if nothing comes up, you have to make a call with your career. So, if nothing comes up within this season, then I will probably look into other avenues," Arendse told the Siya crew.
"I haven't given up yet. I am still looking around and obviously I am still hopeful that something will pop up. I am still good for about two more seasons because I still feel good. Maybe teams are looking at the age factor and that's what's scaring them off. That the thing in SA. Once you go over 30 or over 35, they basically write you off. They don't look at the other positives you can bring towards the team or in the changing room itself. Hopefully something does happen because I still have a craving for the game."
