A former topflight Golden Boot winner has selected five players he feels will battle it out for the top scorer award in the DStv Premiership this season.
Mamelodi Sundowns forward Peter Shalulile and Victor Letsoalo of Royal AM are early pacesetters and are joint top scorers at the moment with five goals.
Both players were on the scoresheet this past weekend and are showing early on in the campaign that they are out to get their hands on the golden boot award.
Behind them on three goals is SuperSport United's Thamsanqa Gabuza, Stellenbosch forward, Judas Moseamedi and Sekhukhune United's Chibuike Ohizu. It's already an interesting battle on the scorers chart, with players making sure that they take their chances in front of goal.
Former top scorer in the Premiership, Jackie Ledwaba - who won the award for topping the goalscoring leaderboard for the 2003/2004 season - has not included last season's winner Bradley Grobler in his list of candidates for the award.
Shalulile, who can't seem to stop scoring at the moment, is the first candidate on Ledwaba's list, but who else features?
