Stellenbosch extended their unbeaten start to the DStv Premiership season with a 2-1 victory over Chippa United on Saturday evening.
Stellies recalled Alan Robertson, Ibraheem Jabaar and Judas Moseamedi while the Chilli Boys made a similar number of alterations, with Kurt Lentjies, Roscoe Pietersen and Vuluyeke Zulu coming back to the line-up.
The hosts had a perfect start after Stanley Dimgba gave them the lead in the ninth minute with a clinical strike inside the box after goalkeeper Ismail Watenga saved Moseamedi's shot from a one-on-one situation, back into play.
However, Gavin Hunt's charges levelled matters in the 24th minute courtesy of a powerful header by Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Sammy Seabi, from a corner.
Seabi quickly became villain seven minutes before the half-time break after scoring an own goal after his attempted clearance landed in the back of his own net.
