As they look ahead to an intriguing DStv Premiership match against Kaizer Chiefs after the international break, Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to have some of their key players back for the clash.
Sundowns missed Themba Zwane and Mosa Lebusa in their MTN8 first leg clash against Golden Arrows and the two players were also absent for the DStv Premiership encounter against Chippa United a few days before that. The team is hoping to have the players back in time to face Amakhosi.
Gift Motupa is yet to feature this season, but the player looks set to make a return to the team after he was confirmed unavailable for the MTN8 clash against Arrows in the team's last match.
Striker Thabiso Kutumela tested positive for Covid while in camp with Bafana Bafana and will need to isolate before making a return to the team.
Sundowns have already met Chiefs this season, in a 2-2 draw in the MTN8 first round clash which had to be decided on penalties after the sides could not be separated in 120 minutes.
A player who will be out for a while is midfielder Lebohang Maboe, who faces six to nine months on the sidelines to nurse a knee injury.
