Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Phelelani Mpangase believes the relationship between coaches will be critical when Downs take on Orlando Pirates.
Coach Manqoba Mngqithi and coach Steve Komphela have a very close relationship with coach Mandla Ncikazi on and off the field.
"Looking at the game between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, I think it is going to be one of the most exciting clashes as always. Considering the fact that it also a game of best friends, they know each other very well and that will play a huge part in deciding the game," Mpangase told the Siya crew.
The former defender is confident that with what Sundowns have at their disposal, they won't make it easy for Pirates.
"Sundowns are very patient with build up, have good combination play and they are very good with triangles, and Pirates... they play a transition game. I believe it will be a very good game," he explains.
"'I still believe that Sundowns will beat Pirates because of not having their best players that has been consistent, especially in the midfield, Ben Motshwari will be missed.
"Downs have every player that can win you games and if they perfom well on the day, they will definitely take Pirates to the cleaners," he added.
