Mamelodi Sundowns continued their dominance over Orlando Pirates as a brace from Peter Shalulile secured a 2-0 win at Orlando Stadium.
Terrence Dzvukamanja was drafted into the Buccaneers starting line-up, while Thabiso Kutumela replaced Gaston Sirino in the Brazilians' set up after last thrashing of TS Galaxy.
Sundowns enjoyed a lot of the possession in the early stages, with Erasmus and Kutumela looking particularly dangerous whenever they entered the final third.
The Buccaneers did see a bit more of the ball as the half went on and they nearly got the opening goal on 30 minutes when Bandile Shandu was played through on goal, but his effort was saved by Denis Onyango.
From the resultant corner, Happy Jele squandered a chance to break the deadlock as he failed to direct his header on target despite losing his marker at the far post.
The tempo of the encounter seemingly died down in the closing stages, but the hosts were dealt a blow when Dzvukamanja was unable to continue after a knock as he made way for Ntsako Makhubela.
