Following his appearance for Bafana Bafana in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Kaizer Chiefs' versatile player Njabulo Blom has given an update on readiness for the DSTV Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns are scheduled to host Amakhosi at Loftus on Sunday for the second time this season, after the two sides clashed in the first round of the MTN8 last month.
Blom came on as a substitute in Bafana Bafana's group C victory on Monday evening at FNB Stadium, contributing to the win as the senior national team finished the international period with four points in the bag.
He returned to Amakhosi training on Wednesday and feels he is ready to take part in the clash against the reigning champions.
"Since I came back, I have been pushing myself at training, so I think am I ready and fit to play on Sunday," Blom told the Amakhosi media department.
Blom was impressed with how the Bafana Bafana players were able to showcase their talent in the match against Ghana, after the goalless draw with Zimbabwe last Friday.
"I think we did well as players. Obviously most of the players were new. We are all new and young. The first game, I think we were still scared to showcase our talent, but the coach told us to be free and go out there and enjoy. We did that in the second game. We went out there and gave our best."
