The club have confirmed that striker Samir Nurkovic will miss Sunday's clash against Marumo Gallants as he is set to undergo surgery on his right knee.
The Serbian has revealed that he has been struggling with the injury for a while before the medical team decided it was time to get surgery.
“I have had this injury niggling me for a while now – the medical team felt it was best to get the operation done. Further assessments will be done after the operation," Nurkovic told the club's official website.
"The medical team will give me a timeline on the recovery process after that.”
Nurkovic joins Leonardo Castro, Siyabonga Ngezana and Dumsani Zuma are Samir Nurković, Phathutshedzo Nange and Kgaogelo Sekgota on the club's lengthy injury list.
Nange picked up an injury in the big loss to Royal AM last week, but he is expected to return in a fortnight.
Chiefs take on Gallants at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, with the clash scheduled to get underway at 17h00.
