Just two months after being appointed as Marumo Gallants’ head coach, Sébastien Migné has hinted that he could be set for the exit door at the Polokwane-based outfit.
Despite managing to overturn a 2-1 first leg loss thanks to a 3-0 win over Futuro Kings on Friday night, the 48-year-old cut a disgruntled figure, pointing at a lack of technical guidelines from the club.
“The second round, it will be another challenge against [AS] Vita Club, one of the best teams in Africa. They achieved two finals of the [CAF] Champions league finals in the last 10 years, so it will not be easy,” he told journalists.
“Afterwards we will see, [whether] it’s with me or without me - I don’t know”
Asked to elaborate on his shock comments, the Frenchman revealed that he has experienced great difficulty in convincing the club that he is the right man to take them forward.
“No, I don’t know because if you want to continue to continue to improve, you need a technical guideline. If you cannot follow the technical guide, it is not necessary to have someone like me. So, its important for us to discuss, all together, quietly – but since the beginning, it’s difficult to guide the club and to convince them that I am the good guide.”
“But if they choose me with my experience in Africa, they will have to follow me. If it’s not working, honestly, it will not be possible,” he added.
