Having already confirmed the signing of three players from Mamelodi Sundowns, Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt could look to bring in another player from the defending champions, the Siya crew has gathered.
Bangaly Soumahoro is in the final year of his contract with Sundowns, but looks set to leave Chloorkop before the transfer window closes.
A move to Chippa is on the cards and he could join the three Sundowns players who are currently on loan to the Chilli Boys, Phakamani Mahlambi, Sammy Seabi and Siphesihle Mkhize. The Siya crew has been informed that Hunt is interested in the big Ivorian, who made six appearances in all competitions for the Brazilians last season, playing just over 100 minutes throughout the campaign. The 30-year-old, who can play in central defence or just in front of the back four as an anchorman, joined Sundowns in 2015 from Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas, but has not been able to establish himself at the club.
Outside of the three players Chippa have brought in from Sundowns, Rodney Ramagalela, Mogakolodi Ngele, Kewen Prince, Lloyd Kazapua, Veluyeke Zulu, Jemondre Dickens, Aboubacar Sangare, Roscoe Petersen, Lubeni Haukongo, Tebogo Makobela, Zuko Mdunyelwa, Azola Matrose and Jenovane Matrose. The Chilli Boys will take on rookies Sekhukhune United in their opening DStv Premiership clash at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday, August 21.
