Kaizer Chiefs is expected to decide on the future of one of the talented youngsters in the team before next week’s transfer window deadline.
As he is yet to feature for Amakhosi in the new season under coach Stuart Baxter, Lebohang Lesako could be loaned out for the 2021/22 season, the Siya crew has been informed.
Indications are that the 22-year-old could be allowed to spend the season at a club where his chances of regular game-time will be high.
Lesako was handed a rare start in Chiefs colours against Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup Soweto derby at the beginning of the month, as voted for by the fans, as Amakhosi went on to win through a penalty shootout at the Orlando Stadium.
Having struggled for regular game-time since he was promoted from Chiefs’ development last year, while he has also been disrupted by injuries on his progress, Lesako could be on his way to another DStv Premiership outfit in the coming days.
“Chiefs are to make a decision on the future of Lebohang Lesako in the next few days. The idea of the boy being loaned out for the 2021/22 season has been brought up and the club just has to make a decision,” said the source.
