Marumo Gallants have commented on the possibility of the club signing talented goalkeeper King Ndlovu, who has been training with the club.
Ndlovu has been a free agent since parting ways with Black Leopards towards the end of the 2020/21 campaign. Reasons for his exit from the club are sketchy, however, the crew was informed that the two parties decided it was best to go their separate ways at the time.
Since then, Ndlovu, 27, has enjoyed a training stint with Orlando Pirates as reported by the crew, with indications that the Soweto giants opted against bringing the Tshwane-born shot-stopper on board.
The crew then reported that Ndlovu had penned a deal with Gavin Hunt’s Chippa United.
But the latest news reaching the crew’s desk is that Ndlovu has made a U-turn on Chippa and has spent the last few days trying out his luck with Marumo Gallants in Polokwane.
The crew reached out to the club, who confirmed Ndlovu’s presence in training but would not divulge whether he would be signing with the club as yet.
“I can’t say he’s signing or not – I will only get the final update from the coaches today,” club media manager Rufus Matsena told the Siya crew.
It now remains to be seen whether Ndlovu has done enough to convince new Gallants coach Sebastien Migne, who was unveiled as the club’s new mentor on Thursday, to bring him on board for the upcoming campaign.
