After Kaizer Chiefs announced new players ahead of the 2021/22 season, a former player of the club has given his ideal line-up with some fresh faces included.
Amakhosi finally have the luxury of registering new players after serving a transfer ban and they confirmed the arrivals of Brandon Petersen, Sifiso Hlanti, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Phathutshedzo Nange and Kgaogelo Sekgota, while Given Thibedi is back from a successful loan spell with Soweto rivals Swallows FC.
This could see many changes in the starting line-up next season, as Amakhosi look to recover from a disappointing domestic season which saw the club qualify for the top eight only on the final day of the campaign. Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat has been out for some time now and he's return will no doubt feel like a new signing for Amakhosi.
Former Chiefs defender Isaac Mabotsa feels there is no need to make too many changes to the line-up, as he highlighted the defence as an area Amakhosi probably need to bring in their new faces to reinforce. Chiefs conceded 37 goals last season and three of the new players they have announced are defenders.
