After the Siya crew reported that SuperSport United striker Evans Rusike would be parting ways with the club

After the Siya crew reported that SuperSport United striker Evans Rusike would be parting ways with the club, it has since been revealed that he is already in talks with potential suitors.
The crew reported that the Zimbabwean striker would be parting ways with Matsatsantsa after three years when his contract expires on 30 June, after the club opted not to take up the option on his contract.
However, the striker has been not short of options and according to Siya sources, has already been in talks with a few clubs as he plots his next move.
According to information reaching the Siya crew, there is talk of a potential return to Maritzburg United for the 31-year-old, where he could reunite with his former coach Ernst Middendorp.
After ensuring the club’s top-flight safety this season, the German is already shaking things up at the Team of Choice and has already parted ways with four players.
Middendorp is believed to be keen on strengthening his attack, with Rusike said to be one of his main targets.
It was under the guidance of Middendorp where Rusike shone brightest, scoring 10 goals and attracting the interest of Kaizer Chiefs amongst others at the time.
Now, with his clearance in hand, it remains to be seen whether Rusike will be reuniting with his former coach at Maritzburg in the near future.
