Golden Arrows chairperson Mato Madlala has responded to the possibility of losing some of their key players in the upcoming transfer window.

Abafana Besithende enjoyed very good season after finishing fourth in the DStv Premiership standings, three points behind the CAF Confederation Cup spot.

The likes of Nkosinathi Sibisi, Sfiso Mlungwana, Divine Lunga and Ntsako Makhubela are set to leave the club next season and Madlala says she won't be stopping anyone from leaving as the club have ability to develop more footballers.

"In this world you can't stop anyone from leaving, there's a song that says (Leave but you will miss me) so you can't stop anyone from leaving, even a child you allow to play with fire so can learn," Madlala said.

"So, I don't believe in stopping players or coaches if they want to leave, if you see greater opportunities chase them, as Arrows we will always find new players, it's very important to develop more players.

"If you feel you ready to leave for other opportunities, we will allow that."

When coach Steve Komphela left Arrows for Sundowns, it was believed that the Durban would not do well especially with the timing of his departure, but the chairperson insists she was not surprised by the side's high finish.

"How long did Steve Komphela stayed with us? It not like he was with these players from their development, him leaving us it didn't affect the team, so our foundation remained the same even after he left which is why we didn't struggle, it didn't show shock me to see him leaving," she added.

"As a club we won't limit ourselves, if there's need to add new assistant or someone more than assistant we will do so."
