AmaZulu FC President Sandile Zungu has given an update on Zukile Kewuti, whose loan deal is set to end next month.
Coach Benni McCarthy expressed his desire to sign the versatile player permanently, but admits that he is not keen to fork out a high fee for the attacker.
The AmaZulu president has been impressed by the player.
"There are players in the team that are very versatile, who can play different positions, you would've seen how he played against Mamelodi Sundowns, in the left back position, in Sbusiso Mabiliso's place because he was suspended," Zungu said addressing media on Thursday.
"I would argue that was Kewuti's best perfomance in the team since he came on board. At the club we are guided by what coach Benni McCarthy wishes. We influence the coach and when it comes to selections, signings and releasing of players, it becomes a very important discussion, because we talk livelihood."
Zungu says a decision on Kewuti should be made in coming days as they will have a formal discussion with City and the technical team.
"We don't take that responsible lightly at all, so we have a keen interest to discuss that, which will happen in a couple days," he added.
