Sundowns Sifiso Ngobeni

With Mamelodi Sundowns understood to be closing in on one of their transfer targets for the new season, we take a look at some of the Brazilians’ most valuable left backs through the years.
Meanwhile it is believed that Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic have agreed a deal in principle for the transfer of left back, Sifiso Ngobeni.
The Brazilians have been tracking the 24-year-old since last season, and are close to landing the player, with a deal said to be all but done.
If he does make the move to Chloorkop, Ngobeni who according to Transfermarkt, has a transfer value of €200k (±R3.4m), will be competing with a number of Sundowns’ current stars in the left back berth.
Sundowns currently have Lyle Lakay €750k (±R13.1), Aubrey Modiba €900k (±R15.3m), and veteran Tebogo Langerman €250k (±R4.2m), as their current left back options.
However, they are not the only talent to come through the doors at Chloorkop.
Sundowns have had some impressive left back talent through the years, with the likes of Siaka Tiene, Fares Hachi, Siyabonga Zulu and Punch Masenamela amongst those who have donned the Brazilians shirt.
