Genk striker Paul Onuachu is keen to secure a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window

Genk striker Paul Onuachu is keen to secure a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, according to Belgian news outlet Voetbal Belgie.

The report claims that several clubs are monitoring his progress but that the player is keen to head to the Emirates Stadium in the near future.

Onuachu has enjoyed a scintillating campaign in Belgium, firing 32 goals and registering four assists during his 37 appearances.

It is also thought that the 6ft 7in could cost as little as £25 million if he leaves when the window reopens.

Onuachu has proved a revelation for Genk and could follow in the footsteps of Sander Berge in heading to English football.

Arsenal are likely to seek new players during the summer months but with no European football, they could be forced to head into a different market.

Onuachu is uncompromising in stature, strong in the air and comes alive inside the penalty area.

Currently, the Gunners have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in their attacking arsenal.

Eddie Nketiah could depart and that could leave space for a new striker to come into the squad.

Onuachu could provide a different option to the squad and Arsenal could look to pounce this summer.

Mikel Arteta is facing a fight to ensure the team plays in Europe next season and that could force his hand into the transfer market.

The 26-year-old is at a nice age to continue developing as a player and he’d surely relish the chance of a Premier League move.

Onuachu claims to be an Arsenal supporter and as a result, you can bet that he’d be willing to give his all for the cause.

At £25 million, the striker could prove a steal and it’s definitely a move the Gunners should look to make.
