Enyimba, Sfaxien out to overturn deficits - 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup

Former African champions Enyimba FC and CS Sfaxien will be looking to overturn deficits in their 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final ties on Sunday.

Nigerian giants Enyimba suffered a 4-1 defeat to Egyptian club Pyramids in the first-leg encounter at the 30 June Defence Stadium in Egypt’s capital city, Cairo last weekend.

The two teams will now meet in the second-leg encounter at the Enyimba International Stadium in a city in the southeast of Nigeria, Aba.

While Tunisian giants Sfaxien suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Algerian outfit JS Kabylie at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax which is often described as Tunisia’s second city.

Kabylie will now play host to Sfaxien in the second-leg match at the Stade du 1er Novembre 1954 in a city in north-central Algeria, Tizi Ouzou.

Meanwhile, South African giants Orlando Pirates were held to a 1-1 draw by Moroccan champions Raja Casablanca at the Orlando Stadium in the biggest city in South Africa, Johannesburg.

Raja are now set to play host to Pirates at the Stade Mohamed V in the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca.

Lastly, Cameroonian giants Coton Sport secured a narrow 1-0 win over Senegalese side Jaraaf at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium in a Cameroonian port city, Garoua.

Jaraaf will welcome Coton Sport at the Stade Lat-Dior in the third-largest city in Senegal, Thiès.

The winners on aggregate will progress to the two-legged semi-finals which are set to be played in June 2021.
