Update On Bafana Coach

SAFA on Friday night issued a fresh update on the status of appointing a Bafana Bafana coach to replace Molefi Ntseki.
It was thought the new man would be announced on Saturday, April 24 following a meeting between the hierarchy and the technical committee, but the confirmation has now been postponed to next week at the earliest.
Carlos Queiroz is believed to be the favourite to land the post as reported by the Siya crew earlier this month and the apology from SAFA hinted that the new Bafana coach could be a foreigner.
A statement on the association’s social media platforms was issued as follows:
“BREAKING: The Bafana Bafana coach announcement scheduled for Saturday, 24 April 2021 has been postponed due to global Covid-19 travel issues.
We will reschedule the announcement to next week and further updates will be provided on this page.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”
