Arminia Bielefeld Start Digital Training Program In SA

Bundesliga club DSC Arminia Bielefeld are coming to South Africa as part of a program to contribute to football development at grassroots level in the country, the Siya crew has learnt.
Arminia Bielefeld is the former club of Mzansi football legends like Sibusiso Zuma, Delron Buckley, Rowen Fernandez and Siyabonga Nkosi.
From 22 April to 08 May, the club is scheduled to be in Mzansi for a football training program for children from 10 to 15 years of age as well as a coaching development program, as confirmed to the Siya crew by event organisers.
The initiative is as a result of a partnership between the Bundesliga club, German-based international sports development agency Schächter Sports and Mzansi-based Dynasty Sports agency.
“The program will be conducted via video conferencing platforms in a series of live and pre-recorded sessions and will include football legends from Arminia Bielefeld and South Africa. The program will focus on moulding young footballers on and off the field,” confirmed the organisers in a statement, as issued by local agent Ayanda Sigwili from Dynasty Sports.
“Last week was the kick-off of the first digital Arminia event in South Africa. Together with some German institutions, Arminia CEO Samir Arabi shared what the club is planning in South Africa and welcomed Desiree Ellis who is the current head coach of SA womens’ national team alongside Sibusiso Zuma, a famous former Arminia player,” read the statement.
