Tau Keeps Scoring as 'Bhele' Next In Line

Following his goal against Ghana on Thursday night, Percy Tau is now level with Sibusiso Zuma on Bafana Bafana’s all-time top scorer list and he is now just two goals away from reaching a record set by a retired national team legend.

Tau is now on 13 goals for Bafana and has achieved the feat in 30 appearances.

All the players who are ahead of Tau on the top scorers' list have retired, so the former Mamelodi Sundowns player has a good chance of going on to reach the record of 31 goals set by current AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy.

Tokelo Ranti and Siphiwe Tshabalala, who are both on 12 goals, are the only players in the top 10 who are still active. These two players, however, may not get another chance in their careers to represent Bafana and add to the goals they have scored.
